James Bogle

Head of Marketing and Communications, The QEII Centre
For over 15 years, James has worked in a number of roles across, marketing, market research and business development.  James's first taste of the events industry came as a Conference Producer for Haymarket, putting together events across a number of their leading brands including PR Week and Third Sector. Subsequently he managed UK Anti-Doping's (UKADs) portfolio of educational events when he worked there as the Brand and Events Manager as well as leading on the rebrand and strategic plan launch in 2018 and creating the National Clean Sport week campaign, which remains a key part of UKADs broader strategy to protect clean sport.  James is currently the Head of Marketing & Communications at the QEII Centre having joined from UAKD in April 2019. He is responsible for the strategy and working across all aspects of the marketing mix, from social media and the website, showcase events, tradeshows and exhibitions to corporate documents, newsletters and blogs. James is responsible for all campaigns including both distracted economy campaigns, with the original campaign placing 3rd in the 2024 miaList awards.  James was a member of the Westminster Venue collection board between February 2023 and October 2024, with a focus on identifying fresh marketing and communications opportunities and supporting existing activity and leading the project team for the new website. James' time on the board coincided with a period of sustained growth, with membership almost doubling to 50 members.
