Tomorrow's Talent 2025: Millie Fitzpatrick

Tomorrow's Talent 2025: Millie Fitzpatrick

Millie Fitzpatrick, Assistant Meeting & Events Sales Manager, is quickly making her mark in the industry. From working in hospitality as a teenager to becoming a recognised Tomorrow’s Talent winner, she’s built her career on instinct, determination and authenticity. Currently based at Hotel Football, she’s passionate about creating genuine relationships and embracing every opportunity to grow. Here, she shares her journey, proudest moments and the film that inspires her dream event…

Tell us a bit about your journey in the industry so far. How did you get started?
I got my very first taste of hospitality at just 13, working in a local village café. Later, I joined the pre-opening team of a Sicilian restaurant that’s now award-winning and one of the most celebrated spots in my hometown. That early experience taught me so much about service and people. I studied Event Management at Manchester Met, and my first graduate role was at Hotel Football—it was the first job I interviewed for, and I just knew it was right. I went with my gut, and it’s been home ever since.

What has been a defining moment in your career to date?
Becoming Chair of the Next Generation Group with the Meetings Industry Association and winning Tomorrow’s Talent. Both felt like real milestones where I could take pride in how far I’ve come and how much potential still lies ahead.

What does being a Tomorrow’s Talent winner mean to you?
It’s such a proud moment. It’s not just a title—it’s a recognition of the work I’ve put in and the direction I’m heading in. Being seen by others in the industry really motivates me to keep building momentum.

What’s the best advice you’ve been given?
To always be authentic. I was told early on that people connect with who I am, and that’s enough—I don’t need to change to fit in. That advice has helped me feel confident in every space I walk into, whether it’s with clients, agents or colleagues.

Is there someone in the industry who’s inspired or influenced you along the way?
Absolutely—my Director of Sales & Marketing and friend, Jessica Southworth. She’s a force in the industry and never compromises who she is. She’s someone who genuinely advocates for others when they’re not in the room, and I’ve learnt so much from her.

If you could design a dream event, what would it look like?
It would be totally inspired by Mamma Mia! A relaxed Greek island vibe with incredible food, music, and lots of sparkle. Think warm summer night, dancing under fairy lights, and a playlist full of joy.

What would your event playlist sound like?
Depends on the vibe, but I love a modern string quartet—something like the Bridgerton soundtrack for elegance. Or if it’s something more laid-back, a beach club vibe always hits.

If you could swap jobs with anyone in the events world for a day, who would it be?
Mindy Weiss! She creates the most imaginative, beautiful events and seems like the calmest presence on a big day. I'd love to be behind the scenes of one of her celebrity weddings.

And your event superpower?
Immersive experience design. Creating not just a beautiful space, but one that touches every sense—light, sound, scent, storytelling. A full emotional journey.

And just for fun—if you were creating a dream event for a fictional character, who would it be?
Mia Thermopolis from The Princess Diaries! A garden party in a palace with a string quartet, elegant touches and tiny details that make it unforgettable.
