Meet Bronwyn Gahagan, Senior Event Manager
Known for her commitment to inclusion, her calm leadership style and her flair for delivering seamless, high-impact events, Bronwyn Gahagan leads with both heart and head. Here, she shares key moments from her journey, what keeps her inspired, and her dream event locations…
What has been a defining moment in your career so far?
Winning the PPA NextGen Award was huge for me. It wasn’t just a personal milestone, it felt like recognition for years of behind-the-scenes work in accessibility, diversity, and inclusion. It reminded me that even quiet efforts can make a big impact, and that pushing for change is always worth it.
What do you love most about working in events?
That moment when everything comes together live, in real time. It’s chaotic, thrilling, and incredibly rewarding. You need to be hyper-organised but also adaptable, there’s nothing quite like it.
What does being a Tomorrow’s Talent winner mean to you?
It’s a real honour and a great opportunity to keep growing and connecting with brilliant people. I’ve already embraced the emcee course with open arms as part of the experience and can’t wait to keep challenging myself in new ways.
What challenges have you faced breaking into the industry—and how did you overcome them?
Moving to the UK as an international professional meant starting from scratch: no network, unfamiliar venues, new suppliers. I had to be proactive, do a lot of research, and attend every networking event I could. Later, working in the male-dominated world of financial services brought its own challenges, but I’ve learnt to back myself, lead with confidence, and never stop asking questions.
What’s the most valuable piece of advice you’ve received?
“You can’t control everything, but you can always control how you show up.” That stuck with me. Especially in high-pressure environments, showing up with empathy, calm, and with intention makes all the difference.
If your event had to be based on a movie, what would you pick?
Fantastic Mr. Fox. I love the idea of a whimsical woodland theme with clever charm, cosy-glam countryside vibes, earthy styling, wild menus, and cheeky award titles. Quirky, creative, and totally memorable.
What’s the craziest location you’ve dreamed of hosting an event?
A floating glass platform suspended over the fjords in Norway under the aurora borealis. A blend of luxury and untouched nature with epic branding and once-in-a-lifetime views.
If you could swap jobs with anyone in the events industry for a day, who would it be?
Christophe Dubi, Executive Producer of the Olympics. To see how something of that scale is orchestrated, blending legacy, global culture, and intense live performance would be next-level inspiring.
