Fam trips return as part of The Meetings Show in 2022, and Cardiff is one of the first destinations to sign up. Visits to luxury hotels, historic hot spots and sensational stadia are included in this three-day trip to the Welsh capital, which will show how the city is returning stronger after the pandemic. Hosted buyers who sign up will be given an insider’s view of Cardiff for business events by Meet in Cardiff’s local, experienced team. 

After a night’s stay at the newly-opened luxury Parkgate Hotel, attendees will be whisked off to ‘must-see’ historic venues the National Museum Cardiff and Cardiff Castle as well as the famous Principality Stadium and the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama, an academic institution with impressive contemporary facilities for events. 
Cardiff is a true sporting city with an established choice of six international stadia with another two more in development in Cardiff Bay – a 17,000-seater arena and velodrome. Buyers will get to see first-hand how close the city centre is from Cardiff Bay and how to combine both locations in an itinerary.

The trip’s second night’s stay will be at voco St David’s hotel which boasts stunning views out to sea, a spa and strong sustainability credentials. Buyers will be given the chance to learn about Cardiff’s maritime heritage, including the iconic Exchange Hotel where coal was traded, making Cardiff port the largest exporter of coal in the world.

Departure day includes a day visit to the UK’s newest purpose-built conference centre ICC Wales and its neighbour Celtic Manor, located just off the M4. The visit will include a show around and a cake-bake challenge with the chance to add a complimentary extra night at the Celtic Manor Resort and Spa.
